Advent Day 6 – Wassei Family

Advent Day 6 – Wassei Family

DECEMBER 6, 2020
“The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are
highly favored! The Lord is with you. Mary was greatly
troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting
this might be.” Luke 1:28-29

When Mary was told she was highly favored, her response was confusion and understandably so. How often do you get an angelic visit and what was this visit all about? Was it going to require great sacrifice? When God calls you, are you confused or do you run to Him? Faith is needed to combat the confusion and fear. Hebrews 11 teaches us that the promises of God sometimes take generations (vs 13). Is God calling you? Are you prepared that there may not be fruit in your lifetime? We need to humble ourselves and trust God knows best when He speaks to us through His Word, His Spirit, and His Church.

Dear Lord, at times we hesitate when prompted by your Spirit to follow Christ’s example. Help us to “run with perseverance the race marked out for us” (Heb. 12:1b) and not doubt. Give us faith and help us not to be confused. In Jesus name, Amen!
