Advent Dec. 25th – The Fitch Family

DECEMBER 25, 2020

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

John 1:14

“Full of grace and truth…” Jesus is truth! He is full of Grace! He is salvation! (Luke 2:30) What a wonderful truth to celebrate today! On this day we celebrate the fact that the way, truth, and life descended from heaven into this world with the purpose of saving us. He loves us so much that he humbled himself, giving up his station in heaven to walk the same ground we trod knowing one day he’d die a horrific death so that we could have everlasting life with Him. More than that, John speaks of seeing Christ’s “glory.” John, an eyewitness to the resurrection, can testify for us that Christ came not only to die, but also to resurrect victorious over sin, death, and Satan himself. What a wonderful gift we’ve been given! Victory in Jesus, our Savior forever! Merry Christmas!

Lord, thank you for your humility, holiness, submission, and resurrection! I pray that I can live each day with a thankful heart for what you’ve done for me. Please pull me close to you this Christmas and truly feel the blessing that it is to have you as my Savior. We praise you for being the promise maker and promise keeper. Amen.
