The most recent recommendation from the Center for Disease Control is that those who are fully vaccinated may go maskless both indoors and outdoors. They also recommend that those who have not been vaccinated continue to wear masks. Our Elder Board met this past Sunday and have decided to go forward following the CDC mask guidelines. This decision is effective immediately for all GBC activities. Here is what you can expect on Sundays and Thursdays when we gather for worship: -People who have been vaccinated may remove their masks while at the church -People who are not vaccinated are encouraged to continue wearing a mask -The church will NOT be asking for, or checking, people’s vaccination status -We are designating the balcony as a “Mask Required” area for anyone who desires that extra measure of safety -All seating will be opened in the Worship Center Our hope and prayer is that we can each love, support, and respect one another as we move forward and further out of this pandemic. Colossians 3:12 reminds us that we, “as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” We have a wonderful opportunity to live this out in the days and weeks ahead. God bless and see you soon! Dan Swanson (Board Chair) & Adam Fitch (Senior Pastor) |
